After 11 marathons, 2 BQs, and a few ultras, I’ve learned that logging miles isn’t enough.

I used to believe that if I just followed the training plan, pushed through the pain, and carb-loaded with a giant bowl of spaghetti the night before the race, I’d be golden.

I still achieved my goals and finished all the races I signed up for, but the process was so much harder because I never had the energy to do anything else. 

I would see my running friends all go out and live life after our Sunday long runs, and all I could do was dive into bed and watch movies for the rest of the day. I could never make plans after a long run because I felt so weak and destroyed!

That’s when I realized nutrition was the missing piece.

And not just any nutrition — strategic, gut-friendly, endurance-focused fueling made specifically for women runners like me.

Once I created a fueling plan based on my training, hormones, and digestion, my entire experience changed. I ran stronger. I felt clearer. I trusted my body.

I created Grounded Rootz to help other runners avoid the mistakes I made:

❌ Overtraining without proper recovery
❌ Hoping gels and coffee would carry them through race day

Now, I coach runners in their 30s, 40s, and 50s who are already committed to their training — but want a personalized plan to support their body, avoid burnout, and perform at their best.
