Here’s the story…

I get where you’re at…with over 15 years working in the corporate world with high-performing professionals, I see you over there, trying so hard to be healthy, choosing the salad, staying late, working hard. But what happens at the end of the day, when you get home, have a workout scheduled and you are just so pooped and that your couch and take-out looks oh-so-inviting right about now...I know, because I’ve been there. Heck, sometimes I still feel that way and it’s ok.

It’s not realistic to eat clean 100% of the time, because life gets in the way and you have to cut yourself some slack! Personally, I’m not about counting calories and weighing food...I’ve never been a numbers person, because it that takes the fun and joy out of food and I want you to enjoy fuelling your body for optimum performance. I’m more about the 80/20 rule, eating as best I can 80% of the time and giving myself the opportunity to indulge the other 20% because life is short and food should be fun!

As a holistic nutritionist and distance runner, I’ve always taken a curious and experimental approach with my nutrition strategies. I am a firm believer that everybody is different and every BODY is different.  What works for others may not work for you.

I actually used to hate running…

I initially got into running  because my partner was super into it and I thought it would be a fun way to spend time together. But it was HARD.  He ran fast. I was slow. I didn’t know what I was doing or how to fuel my body and I struggled as a result. I literally started running 1 minute and walking 1 minute and eventually bumping up the running time, sticking with it, and somewhere along the way my whole attitude shifted. No longer running for someone else, I was running for me!  With that came many positive shifts, not only in my fitness, but in my professional and personal life. So many positive aspects happened that I began training for my first marathon, but what really turned the dial for me was the shift in focus on my nutrition.  The boost of energy and digestive issues went from nervous runs having to plan my routes around a bathroom stop (praying I wouldn’t poop my pants!) to incident-free Boston Qualifiers!

Using everything I’ve learned in my training and education, I want to help you fuel your body for optimal performance and crush your goals!

This should go without saying, but I’ll say it anyway…

Everyone is welcome here. I’d love to work with you, no matter what you look like, how fast you run, or what your goals are.

I would be truly honoured to help you — regardless of race, belief, gender or gender expression and family structure. No judgement, no shame, no drama.  My only ask of my clients: kindness to yourself and love for everyone. Dog lovers get bonus points ;)

Work with me!

My passion lies in helping runners find what does work for them, so they have more energy to improve their athletic performance. I want to demystify and simplify nutrition. Together, we will focus on fortifying the four pillars of health (sleep, stress, nutrition and movement) for overall better performance.

Land acknowledgement:

I am incredibly grateful to live and play on the stunning lands of the Coast Salish peoples–Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), Stó:lō and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Nations. I believe it is important to acknowledge the land because growing up as a “first” generation Canadian, what we learned is contradictory to the true history of these lands. I recognize and am still learning how systemic and institutional systems of power have oppressed Indigenous peoples, and how that oppression has historically influenced the way non-Indigenous people perceive and interact with Indigenous peoples. I would like to take this opportunity to commit myself to the struggle against the systems of oppression that have dispossessed Indigenous people of their lands and denied their rights to self-determination, work that is essential to human rights, not only in Canada, but across the world.
